Design is always on my mind. Whether I’m crafting a custom piece of furniture or creating vintage-inspired lighting fixtures, the process of design and creation invigorates me like nothing else.
My intention is to honor a space or an object’s purpose but elevate it. For me, a perfect space is one that delights its occupant and celebrates the past while making modern living easy and beautiful. I hope my clients would attest I’ve helped them achieve this balance of historic and contemporary in their homes.
I am a lifelong craftsman of home restoration, preservation, and design. I learned woodworking from my father, a North Bennet Street School grad, who made custom cabinets and mixing boards for concert venues in the 1970s. My youth was spent apprenticing for my dad in his shop and reading about the Boston architecture that fascinated me. Throughout my career, My work has embraced and been inspired by the spirit, artistry, and skill of New England’s finest craftsmen.
For over two decades, it has been my great fortune to have partnered with homeowners in Massachusett’s historic neighborhoods to beautify and restore their dwellings. Whether a project involves small, discrete modifications or ambitious, full-scale transformations, my relationship with all of my clients is collaborative, and I strive to make the renovation process simple and fun for busy people with hectic lives and demanding schedules.
My passion lies in bringing together -- and bringing to life -- my ideas with those of my customers, and their architects and designers to create intelligent, modern spaces informed by history.
